The beeswax they sell can be used in products like candles, food wraps, soaps, moisturizers, perfumes, etc. They also have plans to sell honey in their store later this year.

Challenges
The merchant had various requirements while setting up the affiliate program for their store. They were looking for a cost-effective solution to create their program.

Affiliate Portal Customization
Affiliate portal name
The merchant used the affiliate portal name feature to set the affiliate portal with their store's name (using the goaffpro subdomain option). They used this to set the affiliate portal URL as: https://sperrybeeswax.goaffpro.com/
Brand primary color
Our app also offers the option to set up a brand primary color, which is the color used for the button and header image. The merchant used this to set up a color in tune with their brand logo and store styling.
Affiliate Commissions
The merchant used the default commission feature to set up the default commission for their program. This commission rate applies to all affiliates and products.
Commission Payments
Minimum payout amount
The merchant wanted to set a minimum payout threshold to make commission payments to their affiliates. They used the minimum payout amount feature to set this up.
Affiliates will only become eligible for commission payments when they cross this minimum payout threshold. The merchant set $50 as their minimum payout amount.
PayPal Payouts
GoAffPro also offers the option for making commission payments to affiliates from within the app using PayPal Payouts. The merchant wanted an easy method for commission payments to their affiliates.
The merchant makes commission payments to affiliates using PayPal Payouts from within the app. It allows them to make payments to affiliates in bulk in a few steps.
Referral Sale Settings
Include discounts
The merchant enabled the "Include discounts" option. With this option, the commission gets calculated on the discounted price of the products instead of the whole order amount.
Exclude shipping and taxes
Our app also offers the option to exclude commissions from being calculated on the shipping fee or taxes in the orders. The merchant enabled the "Exclude shipping and taxes" option for this.
Cookie Duration
The merchant also customized the referral cookie duration for their program. The cookie duration option allows for setting up the expiration period of the affiliate tracking cookie. The tracking/referral cookie gets saved in the customer's browser when they open an affiliate's referral link. This cookie allows the app to track the customer's visit and record the sale.
Default Referral link
Our app also provides the feature to direct affiliate referral links to a specific store page. The merchant used this option to set the product page in their store as the default referral link.
It also automatically updates all the referral links displayed in the dashboard of affiliates, directing them to the product page, set as the default referral link.
Conclusion
Sperry Honey has been using GoAffPro for about six months now. They have successfully been able to set up and run their affiliate program. Their program has received a great reception, with over 47% of their store orders coming through affiliate marketing.
